We are a friendly and sociable club based in the Steam Crane pub in on North Street, south Bristol. New members are always welcome regardless of playing strength. We support equality and diversity and welcome players of any gender, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation and religion.

            We run regular club night at the Steam Crane on Wednesday evenings. The club currently has 2 teams in the Bristol District Chess League and players often compete in local chess rapid play tournaments and weekend chess congresses. We enter enough teams in the league each year to ensure everyone has the opportunity to play competitive matches whatever their playing strength.

            So whether you're an established club player, you're aspiring to be one, or you just fancy a game in the pub, then please contact our Club President for details of our next club night.
